The Kennedy Center Event Calendar
Publication Design
InDesign| Illustrator| Photoshop
This project was created for my publication class at George Mason University, where we were tasked with designing an event calendar for the Kennedy Center that clearly communicates the 2025–26 season and is easy for viewers to follow. In addition to the calendar, we also designed a coordinating envelope. The photos were sourced from the Kennedy Center’s website, and as the designer, I applied a purple tint in Photoshop to create visual cohesion across the imagery. I also masked and refined several figures, including the two women featured in the front logo, to integrate them seamlessly into the layout.
To guide the viewer’s eye, I structured the calendar using columns and dynamic lines inspired by arm gestures and geometric shapes. The final result is a clean, readable calendar supported by a cohesive visual system. Through this project, I strengthened my understanding of InDesign and refined my ability to create layouts that balance clarity, hierarchy, and visual rhythm.
